Thank you for your interest in the 6th Annual Mark Tipler Celebrity Bass Tournament, on June 27th, 2008, professional angler, Mark Tipler will host this benefit bass fishing tournament. The tournament will be held at Lord Fletcher’s on beautiful Lake Minnetonka in Spring Park Minnesota. During Mark’s senior year in high school he suffered burns to over 80 percent of his body. Through extensive surgery and rehabilitation at Regions Hospital’s Burn Center, Mark was able to make a major recovery from his accident. As a former patient, Tipler is dedicated to giving back to Regions Hospital, which played a critical role in his life. Proceeds from the tournament will help fund programs and services that benefit burn injured children and their family members at Regions Hospital’s Burn Center. Regions Hospital Burn Center:
The Burn Center at Regions Hospital is nationally recognized for its comprehensive, state-of-the-art care and its history of developing and pioneering new techniques in burn treatment. It is the largest burn center in the Upper Midwest, serving patients from a five-state area. The Burn Center at Regions Hospital is verified by the American Burn Association through the American College of Surgeons. Burns are often associated with extended hospital stays, painful treatment procedures, and disfiguring injuries. As a result, they can be very traumatic for patients and their families. Regions Hospital Burn Center offers special support services for both children and adults. The healing environment includes a play area for children, a rooftop garden, and two short-term sleeping rooms for family members. A Child Life Specialist is available to help children cope with their injuries, including the special challenges of returning to school and interacting with their peers.

The Event:
The 6th Annual Mark Tipler Celebrity Bass Tournament begins at 7:00 a.m. at Lord Fletcher’s in Spring Park, Minnesota. Mark competes across the United States and has recruited a number of his fellow pro anglers to participate in this event. Up to 60 teams, consisting of a pro and two “co-anglers,” will fish for six hours with the goal of landing the greatest total weight for six bass. At 2:00 p.m., boats will return to the dock for fish to be weighed and released. Co-angler entry fees are $500, covering the day’s competition, meals and prize registration. The day will end with a program and banquet for participants
